Birthday Party 2011

We did it! 2 years of being Chicago's #1 source for 80s and 90s vintage clothing! Thanks for all of your support! We have met so many awesome friends and have such great customers it was fun to throw a party to celebrate with all of them--here are some pictures if you missed out--SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!!!

Highlights of the night included a tower of delicious cupcakes made for us by the amazing Curiouser and Curiouser Bakery, photos by Mathew Stephen and awesome jams played by DJ Jean Shorts and our very own Ross Kelly. Our loyal fans and friendterns Sisterman and Gaudy God were getting down and dirty, Isa from Chicago Looks was snapping photos and Emma from Tres Awesome hung out all night capturing the craziness. Thanks so much Chicago! 

Featured Items: Denim Block Patchwork

We have a couple of great denim shirts in right now at Kokorokoko that feature the kind of denim black patch work that was popular in the late 80s and early 90s. The revival of this style has been used recently by some of our favorite current designers like Chloe and Makin Jan Ma. We also have a complete Used Jeans ensemble that features this technique with a matching shirt and trousers in black, white and blue denim. Woah!

Cross Colours!

Here is a classic 90s Cross Colours Baseball jersey we recently scored. Cross Colors was by far my favorite 90s hip hop brand along with Used Jeans and Girbaud.
