JNCO JEANS!

JNCO, a Los Angeles based company best known for it's extreme, ultra wide leg denim, was first popularized in the 90s. This street look appealed to ravers and skaters as well as many other subcultures. They recently had a revival, so in the spirit of that, here's some awesome vintage JNCO Jeans pieces we have at Kokorokoko! VON DUTCH IN THE 2000s!

Can you believe Von Dutch is vintage already? 

My first memory of the brand involved my favorite 00s party girls: Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie and Linsday Lohan. These girls iconically wore this brand from HEAD TO TOE back in the day. I do have to say, it paired great with a Juicy Couture velour tracksuit and Uggs.

I remember seeing Paris and Nicole wear this brand on their TV show The Simple Life, and quite a bit earlier on in Britney and Lindsay's party days. Dudes wore it too! Check out Jay Z and Justin Timberlake below wearing the trucker hats! This style goes great with lots of denim, reflective aviators or 70s sunglasses, and don't forget to tilt your trucker hat to the side.

This vintage denim Starter Jacket is the first of it's kind we have ever seen! Super cool Braves logo on the front and back. Looks great with a flannel and a hoodie.

Even though bathing suit season is coming to an end this customer worked a vintage 80s leopard print one piece into this full outfit featuring a radical wooden necklace and sheer maxi skirt. Zexy!

Inspirational Graphics

In the 1980s everyone watched Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous and dreamed of being a jet-setting yuppie. Everything from boots to jackets were given "travel patches" meant to evoke the stickers on Victorian era steamer trunks. Everything from T-shirts to ski pants got the travel treatment. At Kokorokoko we are deep into this trend and have a lot of awesome examples of "travel graphics". Like this denim jacket from Jordache:

It is awesome how it is talking about itself on the patch--"balance tailoring makes you look great"...THANKS! You get to wear an ad for the clothing you are already wearing!

Sometimes the graphics were not on patches but directly silk-screened on like this awesome "Club Adventure" bat-wing sleeve crop top with MATCHING PANTS! The guy in the parachute has MEMBERSHIP!! Collegiate fonts, major metropolitan areas, adventure, all of these things spell money$$
This cotton spandex bike onesie is emplasoned with a globe and just like the Jordache is total meta fashion!
