First popularized by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar of the Lakers in the late 80s, LA Gear was the quintessential LA lifestyle shoe. Though through the early 90s, it struggled to reach the same success it once had, LA Gear styles still seem quite futuristic and throwback at the same time.
Since it's relaunch of classic styles, such as LA Lights and KAJ sneakers, LA Gear has seen a new appreciation for a line almost forgotten about.

Local Chicago Publication Playboy celebrated the 25th anniversary of "Back to the Future" with a fashion photo spread. Agga B styled the 80s themed shoot with a mix of vintage pieces from Kokorokoko and Labrabbit Optics as well as authentic Back to the Future merchandise like those awesome automatic sneakers MJ Fox wears in the sequel.
