Ahhh, the boots. These boots are made by "Wild Pair" and that pretty much sums them up. They are high heeled "Candies" style with little patches all over reminiscent of a steamer trunk that has traveled far and wide. This patch style was popular in the late 80s because I think it was meant to evoke a life of wealthy jet-setting epitomized in shows like "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous"

T-Shirt Shoutout
This men's T-shirt is even better in person. It has so many elements and is perfectly worn in. It is a World Cup Promo from 1994 when East and West Germany were united for the first time since 1938. Es Lebe Deutschland!

Tank You Very Much
We are on the hunt for over sized muscle tanks! Here are a couple choice examples: Gold's Gym and a hot pink "Aqua Gear" one with a drawing of aqua socks on the lower back. Lovely!
Bag Hag
Man we have so many bags right now at Kokorokoko! Styles like this black suede handbag with a chevron and gold lion detail, a Gitano overnight bag with rad rainbow zipper or the faux lizard patchwork metallic jammy are good for day or night. Bag it up people!

Heart is Here
So we had some Japanese visitors the other day and they asked us if we were aware that our name means "Heart is Here" in Japanese. Of course I did NOT know that--I had in fact named the store after my imaginary drag queen name Coco Rococo.When I looked up the words "kokoro" (heart or spirit) and "koko" (place or here) I was so excited that this new meaning was revealed to me. What a wonderful surprise!!

Opening with Lulu Callier, Crak Jewelry and DrewTube
We are lucky to have some awesome paintings on display by local Chicago artist Lulu Callier! Come check them out before we sell out (the cats are already gone!) Everyone had a great time at the opening party and Ross and I got interviewed by Drew Blood from Drew Tube--fun! Cora came by with some new Crak Free earring designs and this amazing pyramid necklace!

Doctor Mickey
Oh Doctor Martin, if only you had known! These vintage Doctor Martins are made in England and feature awesome scribble writing pattern in gold and red. They are in perfect condition! We are super into Mickey Mouse at Kokorokoko and so we were very excited to find this Minnie and Mikey scarf. They are too cool for school in their sunglasses and zebra print...super 80s style! Love it.

Stripe Shorts Sunglasses Summer '09
Lookin good this summer will be easy with a pair of super round sunglasses and striped shorts from Kokorokoko! We have brands like Zena, Palmettos, Betsey Johnson, Skooz, Capezio and other favorites from the 80s and 90s. Lovely!
